- Shoulder coverage: All visitors must wear shirts or blouses with sleeves (at least cap-sleeve length).
- Knee coverage: Pants, skirts, or dresses should reach well below the knee. Avoid tight, sheer, or revealing fabrics.
- Women are required to wear skirts when entering the monasteries; pants are not permitted, but some monasteries offer wrap-around skirts for visitors.
- Men must wear long trousers.
- Neckline modesty: Tops and dresses should have necklines at or above the collarbone.
- Layers recommended: A lightweight shawl or scarf helps maintain modesty and comfort, especially in cooler mornings.
- Note: Additional clothing wraps are provided to visitors at the monasteries in case they need to cover up.
